Quality Assurance & Systems Supervisor

Job Purpose:

Key responsibility of the role is maintaining the QMS systems up to the date. This is achieved via the quality system folder/food safety plan maintained updated (index update), quality systems task schedule maintained, the internal audit program completed to schedule, and the CCP/PC verification schedule maintained. Lead for all technical requirements for export loads

Key Responsibilities:

Responsibilities associated with this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Internal audits: Responsible for internal audits schedule maintenance and completion of audits directly or by delegation to ensure schedule is maintained up to date and results trended and closed out timely
  • Quality Systems task schedule: Responsible for ensuring all tasks on the schedule is completed and closed out timely and maintained up to date
  • Responsible for ensuring that all export loads are technically prepared for and presented to the regulatory inspectors
  • QMS folders maintenance: Responsible to ensure Quality Manual, SP, SOP and RC folders are maintained reflective of current practice and cross checked against index quarterly
  • CCP / PC Monthly verification: Responsible for monthly completion of CCP/PC verification and close out of any arising non-conformances
  • Lead on ensuring customer complaints closed out timely
  • Active participation in preparation and on the day handling of customer & 3rd party audits /F.P.R.s / Visits etc. ยท Completion of Mass Balance / Traceability exercises as required during audits / training etc
  • Responsible for on the floor product specifications. Daily supervision of product quality conducting applicable follow up corrective and preventative actions
  • Deputise as required for the QA Supervisor role where the need arises e.g. holiday cover, training etc
  • Food safety training records for IDF staff are maintained up to date, on file and available for all audits i.e. CCP training, food hygiene, QMS procedures etc
  • Attend all meetings as requested by the Quality Manager and engage positively and contribute to same
  • To support other technical related projects as per business requirements

Skills / Qualifications / Experience:

  • Minimum recognised Diploma in a Food related discipline
  • Ideally 1 year QA/QC experience in Food Manufacturing environment
  • Familiarity with the requirements of the B.R.C. / FSMA standards as well of those of the major retailers would be a significant advantage
  • Be self motivated
  • Have the ability to work on ones own initiative
  • Be a keen team player
  • Have good communication skills (verbal & written)
  • Have an aptitude for problem solving
  • Have an aptitude for informed decision making
  • Attention to detail very important
Note: As with all positions, due to the dynamic nature of Arrow Group business, key responsibilities will evolve and change over time. Some travel will be required. Appointment to this role is subject to the candidate’s eligibility to work in Ireland.
