Deliver a high-quality maintenance service to production and the site wide facility
Reports to:
Maintenance Coordinator/Manager
Key Responsibilities:
Responsibilities associated with this role include, but are not limited to:
Provide maintenance support to the production facility
Carry out wiring installation and commissioning of plant / equipment & trouble shooting on plant and equipment
Perform scheduled and unplanned maintenance of plant equipment
Carry out facility checks which includes meter readings, reports and resolving discrepancies within
Electrical and Mechanical troubleshooting & electro-mechanical repairs to a PLC controlled plant
Work with equipment suppliers on new equipment and installations and modifications
Contribute to the efficiency of the operation by maximizing uptime of machinery
Minimise downtime in production and utility areas
Manage on site contractors including permits and induction
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives as appropriate (e.g.) projects, Lean etc
Troubleshoot using PLC Programs/wiring diagrams etc
Adheres to all site policies on quality and safety (e.g.) clean overalls, clean work boots, hair nets, hearing protection, hand washing etc
Technical support for all the plant facilities and services, including compressed air & refrigeration
Fully support the maintenance, shift cover, phone support & callout
Carry out maintenance work orders and requests in a timely and safe manner while maintaining adherence to GMP
Assist the health & safety team in carrying out risk assessments of new & existing machines and ensuring training is rolled out to the Maintenance Team
Skills / Qualifications / Experience:
A relevant third level qualification in Engineering or time-served Electrician or fitter (Electrical/ Mechanical Qualification/ Mechanical Experience)
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a maintenance role, planned and reactive maintenance skills
Experience in a similar maintenance role within an FMCG industrial plant (food production environment)
Experience of machine control diagnostics would be beneficial to your application, as would strong industrial mechanical service and repair skills
Identify & execute machine / line improvement projects
Have experience of a wide range of Electrical Control Systems, temperature, and PLC/PC Controlled Systems
Instrumentation and programming
Excellent awareness and experience in relation to Quality, Health, and Safety
Computer skills and basic usage of excel inputting
Qualified Electrician – Have a recognised apprenticeship in the electrical, electronic or machine control diagnostics field
Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
Should have good verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrate a logical approach to problem solving
Has a ‘can do’ attitude
Shift: Weekend
Note: As with all positions, due to the dynamic nature of Arrow Group business, key responsibilities will evolve and change over time. Some travel will be required. Appointment to this role is subject to the candidate’s eligibility to work in Ireland.
