Responsibilities associated with this role include, but are not limited to:
Completing Maintenance apprenticeship programme
Learning from the master electrician and completing all assigned duties
Providing maintenance support to the production facility
Assisting with wiring installation and commissioning of plant equipment including trouble shooting
Assisting scheduled and unplanned maintenance of plant equipment
Carry out facility checks which includes meter readings & reports and resolving discrepancies within
Assisting in all electrical and mechanical troubleshooting & electro-mechanical repairs to a PLC controlled plant
Working irregular hours and overtime when required
Assisting to help in the reduction of downtime within the plant and utility areas
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives as appropriate (e.g.) projects, lean etc.
Learning how to troubleshoot using PLC Programs/wiring diagrams etc
Adheres to all site policies on quality, health & safety and environmental
Assist in carrying out maintenance work orders and requests in a timely and safe manner while maintaining adherence to GMP
Assist the health & safety team in carrying out risk assessments of new & existing machines and receiving training where needed
Skills / Qualifications / Experience:
Experience in a similar role within an FMCG industrial plant (food production environment) an advantage
Awareness in relation to quality, health and safety
Ability to work as part of a team
Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
Should have good verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrate a learning ability to approach problem solving
Has a ‘can do’ attitude
Note: As with all positions, due to the dynamic nature of Arrow Group business, key responsibilities will evolve and change over time. Some travel will be required. Appointment to this role is subject to the candidate’s eligibility to work in Ireland.
