The Assistant Accountant is an integral position in our accounting team who will provide support to the Financial Controller.

Key Responsibilities:
Responsibilities associated with this role include, but are not limited to:
Processing monthly nominal journals
Support month-end closure processes
Responsible for the preparation of monthly Vies and Intrastat returns to revenue
Responsible for preparation of VAT return
Support with stock valuation workings
Upkeep of fixed asset and depreciation register
Preparing expense analysis reports
Assisting with audit preparation
Preparing customer rebate calculations at month-end
Support Accounts Payable/Receivable with query resolution
Provide support to the Management Accounts Team with weekly reporting when required
Providing backup for accounts payable and accounts receivable when necessary
Creating efficiencies through continuous improvement of processes
Other ad-hoc tasks and projects that may arise
Skills / Qualifications / Experience:
Candidates should hold a degree in Business, Accountancy, or a related discipline
The candidate will receive both mentoring and suitable training to assist in the role
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines
Excellent timekeeping, with the ability to work as part of a team and on your own initiative
Strong IT Skills with a good knowledge of MS Office packages – Excel in particular
Excellent interpersonal, organisational and communication skills
Highly motivated with an ability to take ownership and muti-task
Ability to proactively communicate with third parties
Note: As with all positions, due to the dynamic nature of Arrow Group business, key responsibilities will evolve and change over time. Some travel will be required. Appointment to this role is subject to the candidate’s eligibility to work in Ireland.
