Job Purpose:

Responsible for overseeing the receipt, inspection, and management of all incoming materials. Ensuring they are checked for quality and quantity, properly recorded, and stored correctly

Reports to:

Production Manager

Key Responsibilities:

Responsibilities associated with this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Work closely with Production Manager and make sure incoming materials are stored in correct areas as agreed with Production Manager
  • Oversee the receipts of materials to site and make sure materials are received in adequate conditions in line with agreed internal procedures and policies
  • Lead goods in team and train them where required on existing and new policies and procedures
  • Ensure correct paperwork is received with all deliveries
  • Help identify any issues with stock rotations or material handling related issues and escalate these on adequate level
  • Identify close to end of shelf-life raw materials/products and inform Quality Team
  • Highlight “On Hold” raw materials/products to Production Manager and Quality Team
  • Participate in projects as required
  • Input of RM from process records into Insight Software daily, ensuring that all data is correct
  • All raw materials to be allocated and assigned lot numbers to ensure full traceability is maintained
  • Unload/Load lorries
  • Checking quality, quantities, temperature and other relevant checks of materials on arrival
  • Once weekly plan is locked down, release all necessary raw material and temper as per tempering matrix
  • All paperwork in terms of tempering, lot numbers and best before to be maintained to ensure full traceability of all raw materials
  • All raw materials to be allocated and stored as per quality procedures i.e. Allergen segregation, Speciation segregation, COPs in terms RSPO, HALAL and organic to be followed
  • Printing labels for incoming and outgoing RM
  • Ensuring every pallet, box, dolav is labelled
  • Monitoring stock levels of required labels and placing orders with production manager
  • Ensure that information related to the interplant/external pallet transfer is recorded
  • Issuing CMR to outgoing product
  • Releasing Raw Materials for production
  • Reporting all irregularities to Production Manager and Quality Team
  • All hygiene issues and requirements to be reported to Production Manager
  • Maintaining segregation practices so that cross contamination does not occur, and integrity of raw materials and their resultant product is intact
  • Management of allergen containing raw materials from intake (Segregation / labelling /spillage management, etc)
  • Ensuring a “Clean as you Go” environment is maintained
  • Communication with production team to ensure no loss of RM traceability and hitch free production process.
  • Operation of PITs as required
  • Compliance with Health and Safety policies & procedures.
  • Waste management
  • Other ad hoc duties as required

Note: As with all positions, due to the dynamic nature of Arrow Group business, key responsibilities will evolve and change over time. Some travel will be required. Appointment to this role is subject to the candidate’s eligibility to work in Ireland.
