Goods In Supervisor

Job Purpose:

Responsible for overseeing the receipt, inspection, and management of all incoming materials. Ensuring they are checked for quality and quantity, properly recorded, and stored correctly.

Reports to:

Production Manager

Key Responsibilities:

Responsibilities associated with this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Administrate Insight inventory & production management system
  • Conduct weekly and monthly stocktakes of materials as required
  • Input of RM from process records into Insight Software on a daily basis, ensuring that all data is correct
  • All raw materials to be allocated and assigned lot numbers to ensure full traceability is maintained
  • Raw materials to be released and tempered as per the business needs to ensure plan if fulfilled
  • Weekly stock takes to be completed weekly to ensure accurate issuing and stock holdings are captured on insight
  • Unload/Load lorries
  • Checking quality, quantities, temperature and other relevant checks of materials on arrival
  • Once weekly plan is locked down. Release all necessary raw material and temper as per tempering matrix
  • All paperwork in terms of tempering, lot numbers and best befores to be maintained to ensure full traceability of all raw materials
  • All raw materials to be allocated and stored as per quality procedures i.e. Allergen segregation, Speciation segregation. COPs in terms RSPO , HALAL and organic to be followed
  • Printing labels for incoming and outgoing RM
  • Ensuring every pallet, box, dolav is labelled
  • Monitoring stock levels of required labels and placing orders with production manager
  • Management of on hold ingredient where necessary and agreeing what action to take with these with management team and QA
  • All hygiene issues and requirements to be reported to Hygiene Manager via email
  • Maintaining segregation practices so that cross contamination does not occur, and integrity of materials and their resultant product is intact
  • Management of allergen containing raw materials from intake (Segregation / labelling / spillage management etc)
  • Ensuring a “Clean as you Go” environment is maintained
  • Coordinate rework flow into production pots according to the production plan, monitor shelf life (anything over 3 weeks to be disposed, recorded and reported to Prod Mgr)
  • Ensure that information related to the transfer of pallet to/from QK Cold Stores is recorded on the pallet tracker spreadsheet
  • Issuing CMR to outgoing product
  • Releasing Raw Materials for production
  • Booking in with QK Cold Stores
  • Maintain all paperwork
  • Covering Holidays
  • Reporting all abnormalities to Production Manager and Quality Team

Skills / Qualifications / Experience:

  • Forklift skills to include up to date forklift licence
  • Good understanding Insight
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good knowledge of the workflow of production
Note: As with all positions, due to the dynamic nature of Arrow Group business, key responsibilities will evolve and change over time. Some travel will be required. Appointment to this role is subject to the candidate’s eligibility to work in Ireland.
