The C&I Technologist will be responsible for launching approved products through the factories and to be an active member of the development team

Key Responsibilities:
Responsibilities associated with this role include, but are not limited to:
The Culinary & Innovation Technologist will be involved in the development of new product concepts working from customer briefs, blue skies concepts, existing product re-developments and factory optimisation
Drive the launch of new product concepts through the approved Stage Gate Process ensuring each stage is documented and signed off according to procedure
Organise product and sample submissions to customers and participate in presentations externally and internally to stakeholders and customers
Arrange trials and pre-production trials on new products through the pilot plant and the manufacturing unit
Completion and recording of customer trackers, product costings, sensory analysis trials, competitor benchmarking and shelf-life analysis trials from an organoleptic and microbiological point of view
Complete and sign off finished product specifications in conjunction with QA for all new lines. Design QAS documents and approve all defect standards with the teams
Complete 1st production/launch, sign off with the relevant teams and with the customer
Complete post-launch reviews and issue reports to the business teams
Work with production and QA in relation to customer codes of practise, process improvements/ yields / improving process efficiencies and cost reduction projects
Be part of the drive for innovation within The Culinary Food Group by participating in brainstorming, Synectic’s sessions, trend analysis forums and market safaris
To assist in all areas of the product development process as necessary
General administration and office duties
Skills / Qualifications / Experience:
3rd level Degree in Food Science / Culinary Science or related discipline
3+ years NPD experience
Note: As with all positions, due to the dynamic nature of Arrow Group business, key responsibilities will evolve and change over time. Some travel will be required. Appointment to this role is subject to the candidate’s eligibility to work in Ireland.
