Culinary Assistant

Culinary & Innovation

Job Purpose:

Assist the Culinary Co-Ordinator with sample management, preparation, and dispatch on a daily basis

Reports to:

Executive Development Chef

Key Responsibilities:

Responsibilities associated with this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Organise and prepare product samples for dispatch to customers daily. Book dispatches & manage correctly through the DHL portal. Generate product labels in line with customer expectations and manage all traceability with regards to sample submissions
  • Prepare ingredient and packaging orders through inventory control. Co-ordinate stock rotation and labelling of all ingredients and consumables
  • Communicate to the innovation & commercial teams regarding project deliverables daily to ensure all customer briefs are responded to in full and in a timely manner
  • Weigh out ingredients and prepare samples according to instructions provided, for review by the Development Chefs
  • Participate in relevant continuous improvement projects for the department
  • Co-ordinate presentation set-ups internally to stakeholders and onsite or virtually to customers
  • Assist in managing the development kitchen to a safe working environment to meet GMP standards
  • Support the Culinary & Development Chef’s and Culinary and Innovation CoOrdinator in package and prepare product sachets as directed by the C&I Coordinator or Innovation Chefs
  • Organising product despatches for the Innovation Team
  • Flexible in terms of any other cleaning duties as directed by the chefs or executive development chef/ Innovation Managers
  • Complete labelling of ingredients for the Innovation Kitchen
  • Assist in inventory stock control within the Kitchen delivering against all project deadlines
  • General administration and office duties

Skills / Qualifications / Experience:

  • No previous experience or training required
  • Proactive, positive can-do attitude
  • Microsoft Office & SharePoint knowledge is preferable but not necessary as training will be provided
  • Good time management & communication skills
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Team mentality
Shift: 9:30 – 17:30, Mon-Fri. Note: As with all positions, due to the dynamic nature of Arrow Group business, key responsibilities will evolve and change over time. Some travel will be required. Appointment to this role is subject to the candidate’s eligibility to work in Ireland.
