Responsible for safe, efficient & quality delivery of cooked and fermented treats
Reports to:
Shift Supervisor/Shift Manager
Key Responsibilities:
Responsibilities associated with this role include, but are not limited to:
Day to day management of production line and associated operators maximising production capacity and resources
Provide knowledge, motivation support and advice to operators, engage operators in solutions
Maintain lineside boards, solve problems as they occur, escalate problems to shift supervisor/manager if support required
Responsible for knowing correct procedures for operators to follow and ensuring they comply
Ensure strict adherence to break times
Encourages team effort and supportive attitudes between operatives
Train all operators to efficiently complete tasks to fulfil their role
Ensure rotation of operators to ensure there is adequate skills to complete all tasks
Meet required quality and production targets
Where necessary help on the line, showing ability to match and exceed targets set for the operators
Maintain a clean and tidy work area
Confirm line set-up and operate to standard operating procedures
Update standard operating procedures where required
Report any issues to your shift supervisor/manager, and Quality Department as soon as discovered
Conduct spot or continuous checks on each line to ensure adherence to customer technical and quality requirements
Achievement of manufacturing targets and continuous improvement initiatives
Maintain constant adherence to all company, customer and legal requirements regarding Food Safety and Quality Assurance
Ensure traceability maintained at all stages within process and record books kept up to date
Ensure that all staff work to their maximum efficiency and are motivated and encouraged to do so
Respond to employee queries and concerns in a timely manner
Ensuring that the highest levels of service, quality and workmanship are maintained
Assist with scheduling of holidays and overtime
Drive a culture of excellent adherence to Health & Safety of all employees through the maintenance of a safe and clean working environment
Conduct daily pit meetings with team
Skills / Qualifications / Experience:
Third level education desirable
Minimum of 2 – 4 years’ experience in a high-speed manufacturing business
English written and verbal communication skills essential
Excellent organisational skills and project management experience required
Leadership and people management skills essential
Ability to solve problems and work on own initiative
Note: As with all positions, due to the dynamic nature of Arrow Group business, key responsibilities will evolve and change over time. Some travel will be required. Appointment to this role is subject to the candidate’s eligibility to work in Ireland
